Tadeusz Kościuszko on Google Arts & Culture

On the occasion of the Tadeusz Kościuszko Year, the Polish History Museum activated a new exhibition on the international platform Google Arts & Culture, dedicated to the great Pole ad citizen of France, the Americas and Europe. The exhibition, “Tadeusz Kościuszko: Man of Vision” is the 17th multimedia exhibition made available on this platform by MHP.

The exhibition tells the story of Tadeusz Kościuszko’s life – from his birth in Mereczowszczyzna, through his education, activities in Poland, France and United States, to his final days in Switzerland. Thanks to it, we can learn these known as well as unknown moments from his biography, his great achievements in engineering, and victorious and lost battles. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the private life of the Commander: his loves and the passions he was dedicated to.

The exhibition includes materials sourced from collections of various institutions: the National Gallery in Warsaw, the National Library in Kraków, the Norman B. Laventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Kraków, the Museum of the Polish Army, the Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial in Philadelphia, Stockbridge Library, the Kosciuszko Foundation.
